Women Who Splitboard

Weather For Backcountry Riders

Online Backcountry Education Event

Tuesday, February 28, 2023

6pm - 7pm MST

Weather and the snowpack go hand in hand. The more you understand about the weather, the more you will understand the snowpack and how it can trend to stability or instability. Understanding the weather is fun, it will help you make good decisions on where to holiday and when to stay home and binge Netflix.

*This backcountry education event is free, and we are only asking for donations.

The Presenter: Kelli Rohrig

Kelli was born and raised in Colorado. As a toddler, her parent’s figured out that skiing on resort with other free-range children was a free and useful babysitter. Subsequently, Kelli has spent her entire life in and around snow. She lives in Eagle Vail, CO with her husband and fur baby, they are also both professional snow dorks. Kelli teaches avalanche education and ski guides in the winter and she owns a landscaping company in the summer. This makes Kelli a good ski partner as she can dig a mean hole!

Women Who Splitboard is a Colorado based company that facilitates meetups, split-specific events and education for female splitboarders. Our mission is to raise women’s voices in the backcountry to be an equal part of the decision making process.
