Backcountry Mapping and Tour Planning Practice Meetup

Come hang with Meetup Host Ti Eversole and other local splitboarder women in Durango to practice trip planning for a tour, mapping skills and reading the avalanche forecast together! Join us for a beer or non-alcoholic beverage and meet some new people to get out in the backcountry with, talk about how dope splitboarding is, and start dreaming up bigger spring objectives. This meetup is open to all – those who already splitboard or anyone who wants to get started!

What to bring:

Laptop, trip planning book of choice, and your rad self open to share and learn with others! We will split into groups and practice planning a mock tour/discussing the forecast and share knowledge and info together!

Hope to see you slaydies there!

* This event is for all who identify with the women community. This event is hosted by a volunteer woman who splitboards in your area. The hosts are not guides or professionals. This is not a structured class, course, or intended to replace any sort of professional training/education in the backcountry. This meetup is hosted as a social event to help facilitate meeting touring partners, practice skills to gain confidence and to uplift and support each other on your splitboarding journey. We do not tour in the backcountry for any meetups. All meetups are limited out of respect for the host and the public. Please cancel your RSVP if you can’t make it so others can have the opportunity.

In collaboration and supported by Weston Backcountry. A special thank you for always supporting Women Who Splitboard, our mission and our vision.
